My allergies are acting up again. I am allergic to three things. Antibiotics, shell fish, and sugar. That's right. Sugar. It makes me fat. Allergies are so not fair.
Can I just tell you how sick I am of wearing the same sweats? Or how about resorting to Paul's t-shirts because I can only take so much of that doughnut that keeps showing up under my really cute t-shirts. For crying out loud, why can't I stay away from the one thing that makes me the most miserable? Stupid cookies.
What if I convince myself that I really am allergic to junk food? When I am at a party and someone offers...no....shoves the plate of brownies in my face and I say, "Oh, no thanks, I am on a diet." and they laugh and shove harder, wouldn't it be great to say "Oh! My heck! Get those things away from me!! I am allergic!!!" I might get a different response. Something like an apology would be nice.
I mean really. What is worse? Hives or Fat? Fat of course. Every once in a while I just want someone to put me out of my misery. Just take me out to the back of the farm and pull the trigger. If I am going to kill myself, why not do it quick. Rip it off. Like a band aid. Instead, I choose to do it slowly. Bite by bite. Stupid flipping apple pie.
Discipline. Discipline is the thing. Or was it listening to my body and intuitive eating? Wait...I think I know...it was moderation...moderation in all things. No, wait, it is coming to me...abstinence. Yes, that is it. Abstinence. No, that isn't right. I think I was talking about allergies. I am allergic to that bucket of red vines! I am I tell you!
Get that pie away from me before my butt swells up and explodes out of these sweat pants!
Apology accepted.

I was dreaming of sucking fat out from under my skin long before they actually started doing it. But as I am the kind of person who is too squeamish to pierce my ears, all I am left with is not eating which is not fun at all. The second I eat a carb, my body packs on 10 grams of water to process it - and then probably ten more grams just in case. Which means that for every piece of dark chocolate I nibble up, I am carrying TEN TIMES at least that weight in water. I am sorry that there are people in the world who seem to be able to eat this junk and never seem to be troubled, like they burn it or flush it or whatever isn't storing it. Because I am inclined not to like these people at all, which is not right. But there it is.
And let me guess Miss Kristen. You don't like me then. :)
I'll let you in on a secret. Those who look like when they eat sugar it flushes itself out immedietly......appearances.
I can not remember a time in my life when I've not exercised my heart out until recently since getting sick. If people only knew how hard I worked to make it "appear" that I could eat anything I wanted because......I too am allergic to sugar. It makes me blow up like a balloon!!
End of discussion and I don't want to hear it from either of you two. Don't think I can't see you rolling your eyes going "ya riiiight.......what EVER". Being thin SUCKS! The pressure to stay thin because everyone always says, "you're so tiny....blah blah blah etc. etc. etc.".......
You know, in the depression no one had anything so kids didn't compare their toys and such to each other. They were all in the same boat. I wish the world would just go obese so we were all in the same boat and we could float in a world of lard and chocolate.....and no one would compare each other because we were all the same.......
Leaving this conversation now that I've pitched a snit.
I like Rachel's idea that everyone should eat whatever they want and everyone will be in the same boat floating in a world of chocolate.
Wall*E anyone?
...and my security word is "boutt"
I REALLY AM allergic to sugar. I have rashes all over me from it. And does that keep me away from it? Not really. (Heck, I just ate 2 cookies with oatmeal and rotten chocolate.)
I have to agree with Rachel. I used to be skinny, too, (well-compared to my current size) and I worked my butt off - literally -to get to that size. And people would say things like, "Oh I wish I had time to work out." and I would think, "Just get your priorities straight." And then I got a full time job. And then I got a full sized figure. And now I'm trying to get my priorities straight. And it's dang hard.
And I repent for every time I thought, "oh give me a break" when Rachel made comments about having fat on her body. I understand how depressing it is to not be able to stay in the shape you are used to being.
Kathy! I love you! I love you for getting it! A million hugs and kisses coming your way!
i always wondered...what if i was allergic...would i still eat it? ya. i am sure i would now and again...it would be worth it....
i have eaten so many of my thoughts too..."oh please, if you really want to lose it just lose it"...or better yet, "oh please, just do your dang calling and stop whining!"...live and learn.
i guess i don't get a million hugs and kisses from rachel. darn it all.
Aw shucks Misty, I love ya too! A million hugs and kisses for you too. :D
